4 Design and Construction Management provides construction management in two segments:
Part time
- on site visits
- review progress of the work
- ensure quality of the work
- keep communication open with contractors and trades
- update the client with progress of work
Full time
- encourage, promote and maintain safe site work practices
- ensure correct work processes are implemented to complete job as per specification
- prepare Request for Inspection (RFI) and liaise with QA/QS Engineer and Consultant for the inspection schedule
- coordinate progress meetings
- coordinate project activities with subcontractors and monitor the implementation of Subcontract Agreement
- oversee and review full range of project coordination activities including the review of reports, plans and specifications to ensure compliance with standards
- plan and prioritize work assignments
- check quantity surveying work and material ‘take off’ to check accuracy of quantity (Bill of Quantities BoQ)
- estimate the project cost regarding the Bill of Quantities and specification
- attend site visit and pre-tender meeting with client; prepare minutes and inform Area Manager accordingly
- perform inspection and witness tests as required
- prepare quality reports in compliance with quality procedures
- prepare Inspection Test Plan Quality Assurance Procedures
- coordinate areas of quality control work with other departments such as startup, engineering and process
